Today, I was going to post an excerpt from my upcoming novella, The Last of Humanity. Unfortunately, that won’t be happening. Someone took my thumb drive apart and as a consequence, it no longer works. That means I’ve not only lost every word of my novella, but I’ve also lost the map and every half-written idea for my fantasy world. I finally got around to continuing with the In Her Name series and, once more, I’m in awe of the world Hicks has created. I must admit though, Confederation is probably my least favorite in the trilogy that recounts the life of the Kreelan-Human hybrid, Reza Gard. While I enjoyed the story and could not put it down, I was at a loss for how little of Esah-Zhurah’s side of things that the reader experienced. Of course, I had a soft spot for the alien.
